FRENCH LANGUAGE IMMERSION

Location: Grenoble and Paris
South France and Paris

Bring the French language to life and increase your proficiency while participating in service opportunities.

Sample Itinerary - 8 Days

Day 1

Your group will take an overnight flight to Europe.

Day 2

Your Appleseed Expeditions tour guide will meet you at the Geneva airport, then your group will board a coach and head south through Switzerland into the Alps in South France, where the youth camp is located.

Day 3

You will have many opportunities to strengthen your language abilities as you interact with French students throughout the next few days! Each day will be a mix of language activities, classroom sessions that help the camp through service, all the while speaking in French.

Day 4

Today you will continue honing your language skills through activities and service in the camp. Your evening will close with a bonfire , and you will even have the opportunity to work on your singing in French!

Day 5

This morning you will participate in many activities designed to fine-tune your French speaking skills through interaction with students at the camp. Following lunch, your group will depart the camp and head north to Paris. You will have opportunity in the evening to enjoy dinner in the city and climb the Eiffel Tower.

Day 6

Today you can continue using what you have learned as the group visits the famous Louvre Museum, home to Mona Lisa and many other astounding works of art. A language activity can also be integrated into your visit at the museum. Following lunch, the group will take a stroll through the gardens, through the Place de la Concorde and up the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, and then you will stop for dinner in the city before returning to the hotel at the close of the evening.

Day 7

Your group will start the day on top of Montmartre at the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur for a view of Paris from far above. You will later mingle among the street artists and continue practicing your French skills! Following lunch, the group will head over to Notre-Dame Cathedral, and then you will enjoy one last French dinner.

Day 8

After an unforgettable learning experience, you will return home from Paris!
