Sample Schedule

Day 1 - Arrive in Cusco

  • Kickstart your journey with a warm welcome and introduction.

  • Cusco, a city in the Peruvian Andes, was once capital of the Inca Empire, and is now known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. Plaza de Armas is the central square in the old city, with arcades, carved wooden balconies and Incan wall ruins. The baroque Santo Domingo Convent was built on top of the Incan Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and has archaeological remains of Inca stonework

Day 2 - Tour of the Sacred Valley

  • The Sacred Valley is a region in Peru's Andean highlands. Along with the nearby town of Cusco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu, it formed the heart of the Inca Empire. Stretching roughly 60 kilometers, it’s an area of fertile farmland and Spanish colonial villages like Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Pisac is known for its Sunday handicraft market and hilltop Incan citadel

  • Explore the Inca Ruins

Day 3 - Machu Picchu

  • Travel to Machu Picchu by Train and Bus

  • Embark on a spectacular train journey through the majestic Andes to the legendary Machu Picchu, where students will explore the fabled Inca citadel with the expertise of a local guide.

Day 4 - Rainbow Mountain

  • Vinicunca, or Winikunka, also called Montaña de Siete Colores (literally: Mountain of seven colors), Montaña de Colores (Mountain of colors) or Montaña Arcoíris (Rainbow Mountain), is a mountain in the Andes of Peru with an altitude of 5,200 metres (17,100 ft) above sea level.

  • Free time in Cusco

Day 5 - Lake Paron

  • Kayak Lake Paron. It is the largest lagoon in Cordillera Blanca. Located to the east of the City of Caraz, it is an ideal place for acclimatization and for the recreation of many tourists looking for adventure in this part of the Cordillera Blanca.

  • Volunteer at local orphanage

Day 6 - Head Back to Cusco

  • Tour Cusco and shopping
