San Antonio & The Hill Country

This unique educational journey begins in San Antonio, where students will walk in the footsteps of history at the Alamo and explore the vibrant culture along the famous River Walk. From there, the adventure continues into the scenic Hill Country, filled with rugged limestone caves, spring-fed rivers, granite domes, and wide-open skies. Whether it’s floating down a lazy river, horseback riding through oak-dotted trails, or hiking to the summit of Enchanted Rock, this trip offers the perfect mix of learning, discovery, and fun in one of Texas’s most iconic regions.

Day 1 San Antonio History & River Adventure

• Arrive in San Antonio and meet your guide

• Visit The Alamo

• Guided tour covering the Texas Revolution and historical significance

• Lunch along the San Antonio Riverwalk

• San Antonio Riverwalk Float Trip - History of San Antonio

• Group dinner on the Riverwalk

Day 2 Natural Bridge Caverns & Service Project

• Travel to Natural Bridge Caverns (just outside San Antonio)

• Guided tour exploring underground geology and cave ecosystems

• Optional ropes course or gem mining activity

• Service Project: Partner with a local organization or park for trail maintenance, riverbank cleanup, or native habitat restoration in the Hill Country

Day 3 Guadalupe River Float Trip & Horseback Riding

• Guided float trip on the Guadalupe River. Learn about Hill Country river ecosystems and water conservation

• Picnic lunch by the river

• Horseback riding at a local ranch

• Trail ride through scenic Hill Country terrain with a short riding lesson

• Campfire and group journaling/sharing session

Day 4 Zip Line Adventure & Fredericksburg Culture

• Zip line adventure near Fredericksburg or Lake Travis area

• Lunch in Fredericksburg

• Explore Fredericksburg’s Pioneer Museum or shops

• Learn about German-Texan culture and Hill Country settlement

Day 5 Hike Enchanted Rock & Depart

• Travel to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

• Guided hike up the granite dome

• Learn about the rock’s formation, local legends, and geology

• Head Home
